However, we are not well accounted for because on applications we (the garifuna people) either check "Hispanic" (because we speak spanish) or "Black" (because we're dark skinned), when in fact we should be checking others and writing "Gairfuna." So, I literally took that simple yet powerful fact and put it on a shirt. The response was overwhelming and also lent itself to other nationalities.
